All right. So it’s a Monday. But here’s a friendly neighborhood Love Austin Music Month reminder from the Austin Music Minute with the perfect remedy for your exhausted soul.
Long before working as a solo artist, and turning the heads of some musical VIP’s on NBC’s The Voice, songwriter and vocalist Nakia was setting the room on fire as a front man for the sizzling blues and soul revue, Nakia and The Blues Grifters. The band is bigger and badder than ever, and ready for some serious face-melting at their residency show tonight at the Skylark Lounge, 2039 Airport Blvd. Get there for the show by 8 p.m., and you will be electrified by their performance.
