Make Some Room

Who: Very exciting times for Houston-based ten-piece R&B/soul outfit The Suffers. The official release for their self-titled EP is today (your humble Austin Music Minute apologizes profusely for mistakenly referring to the EP as titled Make Some Room, but dang, the track by that name is so rockin’ that I couldn’t get it off my mind!). All the endless praises, critical acclaim, Houston Press music awards, and increasing attention have added to the momentum. Of course, front woman Kam Franklin is wowing the crowds at all The Suffers’ live shows with that unmistakable fabulous voice.

What: If you haven’t seen The Suffers yet, you are in for one hell of a great time at their EP release show.

When: It all goes down tonight; doors open at 8 p.m.

Where: Empire Control Room, 606 E. 7th St. Joining The Suffers for the big party are multi-media dance-electro sensation ishi and divine trio of harmonizing goddesses Keeper.

Why: An illuminated night with light, music, and mad dancing. How can you miss out? Very recommended.
