Massive Block Party

Who: One of the biggest block parties ever, the biannual Pecan Street Festival.

What: It’s a two-day art and music festival, scheduled every spring and fall, showcasing a variety of local artists and musicians. There are a ton Austin Music Minute favorites performing this fall, including Ringo Deathstarr,  Think No Think, Hikes, The Angelus (a fantastic band from Denton), KNIFIGHT (featured on today’s AMM), The Shears, Little Radar, Featherface, Migrant Kids, Whiite Walls, Abram Shook, Dana Falconberry, Harvest Thieves, Hello Caller, The Gents, John Wesley Coleman, Wildcat Apollo, Night Drive, Cilantro Boombox and many more.

When: The fest is on from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. today, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. tomorrow. Visit the Pecan Street Fest website for a list of bands and performance schedules.

Where: The historic 6th St. in Downtown Austin, between Brazos St. and I-35.

Why: There’s a lot to choose from. Take a stroll and enjoy. Family-friendly and free admission.
