So much to see and hear this week, which is slightly overwhelming. But have no fear! Here are a few SXSW recommendations for today, courtesy of the Austin Music Minute.
Two daytime showcases:
– The Austin Independent Radio (AIR) showcase at The ABGB, 1305 W. Oltorf, featuring performances by local bands like The Happen-Ins, East Cameron Folkcore and more.
– The Levitation France showcase, presented by Levitation 2015, at the French Legation, 802 San Marcos. Featuring Israel Nash, Moon Duo, Alex Maas (of The Black Angels), The Heartless Bastards and many more.
Nighttime showcases:
– The Dine Alone Records showcase at Bungalow, 92 Rainey St., with Yukon Blonde, The Dodos, Broncho and more.
– A Latin music showcase at The North Door, 502 Brushy St. by I-35, featuring The Wookies from Mexico City, Enjambre from Zacatecas, Disco las Palmeras from Madrid, and more
– The International Shoegaze Night showcase, with local band Ringo Deathstarr, Be Forest from Italy, LA band Nightmare Air, Adelaida from Chile, and more.
