Search the soul of any musician, if you dare. You may discover the passion for their craft often starts at an early age. Brandon Luedtke got his first guitar at age 12, which is also when he began writing songs. To this day, most of his inspiration is derived from the tones and textures of the acoustic guitar, which remain at the core of his songwriting, along with the timeless elements of traditional folk.
Within the last three years, Luedtke determinedly worked on the music for his debut album, Morning Light, and wouldn’t budge when any challenges arose. And with that timelessness, you also feel the music is shaped by a modern sensibility, delivering a classic feel as relevant today as it was in folk songs from years ago.
Keep your eyes and ears peeled for this burgeoning artist. Join Luedtke tonight as he celebrates the vinyl release of his new album with a show at Hole In the Wall, 2538 Guadalupe. The bill is excellent all around with several AMM favorites, including Ralph White, Mother Merey and The Black Dirt, Horti & the Cohorts (Horti of Whiskey Shivers‘ latest project), and Jordan Moser. And tonight, Luedtke is joined by Kelsey Wilson (Wild Child) on vocals.
A magical show is in store for this evening. Very recommended.
