Nail and Charles Residency

Today the Austin Music Minute puts the spotlight on two outstanding local artists with must-listen albums to add to your music collection. Jeremy Nail has received high accolades for his gorgeous and contemplative alt.-country release, My Mountain (the title track was featured on today’s AMM), garnering comparisons to badasses like Ryan Adams and Neil Young. Evan Charles of Altamesa earned kudos for his band’s full-length debut, The Long Ride Home, the folk/Americana-based, genre-crossing collection of songs spanning eight years’ worth of songwriting.

Add both to your list of artists to keep an ear out for. And you can see Nail and Charles when they kick off their Tuesday night double residency tonight at the Hole In the Wall, 2538 Guadalupe. The night begins with guest artist and Project ATX6 founder Chris Brecht at 9 p.m., followed by Charles at 10 p.m. and Nail at 11 p.m. The residency continues every Tuesday throughout August.

This one, darlin’, comes highly recommended.
