One Record At A Time

Who: Attendance Records is doing great work for the local community. Their primary focus is to keep creativity alive in area schools by connecting students and teachers with local writers, artists and musicians. This kind of relationship results in a lot of opportunities for students to express themselves, and the proof is in the albums written and produced by students, and recorded by local music artists like The Sour Notes, Marmalakes, and The Eastern Sea.

What: This year, Attendance Records is working with eighth graders at Kealing Middle School. And to raise funds and awareness for this great program, they’re having their annual Holiday Party with live music, a Giving Tree, and – of course – plenty of photo ops with Santa & Mrs. Claus.

When and where: Tonight at 8 p.m. at the Mohawk, 912 Red River, featuring sets by Basketball Shorts, Big Bill (featured on today’s Austin Music Minute), Cross Record, and Molly Burch. Great music, and a great cause. Very recommended.
