Passage

It’s no exaggeration. Aurova literally feels as though it were taken directly from the journeys of the mind’s eye in the midst of dream-drenched sleep. The Austin-based electronic duo, featuring David McCully – formerly of psych-pop band Melogrand – and Nicolene Waldon, explores ethereal sounds within what they’ve described as reverberated texture, multiple layers building a tremendous soundtrack.

Aurova makes their debut with a performance tonight at Stubb’s indoor venue, following Tycho and Khruangbin‘s performance in Waller Creek Amphitheater, at 10 p.m. The Austin Music Minute knows this is worth staying later for. Recommended.
