Any true blue fan of Whiskey Shivers knows that their shows are an experience and a half. It strikes a chord in the racing hearts of finger-pickin’ freaks and “trashgrass”/”browngrass” lovers – where bluegrass brazenly takes a wilder turn into more rowdy territory. And each one of those fun-lovin’ Whiskey Shivers fellows brings a load of talent to the table.
So, that being said, if you’re a fan yourself, you know of their talented guitarist and vocalist Horti. Horti released a solo album last year, Return To Spider Island, and has made the rounds in town with a few solo shows. He also happens to have a residency going on at Empire Control Room, 606 E. 7th St. Make plans to see him tonight, because the entire bill is a guaranteed great time with friends Sour Bridges and Wild Bill & The Lost Knobs.
Doors open at 8 p.m. this evening. Raise your beers high and join in the fun. Recommended.
