Rock ‘n’ Roll Buffet

The Sidewinder plays host to a number of rock n roll sounds tonight, brilliantly sewed together into a quilt of rock warmth to take the chill from your soul. Psych rock, garage rock, a hint of country rock, and other sonic nuggets are on the menu tonight with a bill that includes Being Dead, Geranium Drive, The Oysters, and Magic Rockers of Texas.

Magic Rockers of Texas released their Rugged Braids EP at the beginning of this year, brilliantly displaying Jim Campo’s proclivity for a lot of gritty rock sounds, from garage to country. Now heading back to the studio, Campo stretches his sonic reach, leaning into a softer side that contrasts even the softest Magic Rockers ballad. Instead of grit and loud momentum, this song sends you floating down a gentle river on a cloud boat without sacrificing Campo’s signature vocals or the musky stink that is purely MROT. Their live shows are pure energy in the fast lane from start to finish, turning new listeners into hard fans at every time they take the stage.

The rock n roll buffet is served tonight at Sidewinder inside! Doors at 8.
