So Much Fun, Fun, Fun

It all started eight years ago. The founders were bound and determined to created an all-inclusive music party that had something for everyone, an exceptional experience that steered away from the usual fanfare.

And now, amidst a sea of countless festivals here and the world over, Transmission Events has something pretty solid with Fun Fun Fun Fest, which has remained true to the original mission. There’s music and entertainment covering all sorts of musical tastes on four different color-coded stages, along with comedy and sports, plus additional after-fest parties with Fun Fun Fun Nites at local venues around town. All this week, the Austin Music Minute will feature different artists playing the fest, as well as offer previews of upcoming FFF Nites shows.

This year, the triple fun commences Thursday night with some very sweet Fun Nite action: Swing by the Mohawk, 912 Red River, to catch Roger Sellers, The Tontons and Kurt Vile on the outside stage, followed by Dana Falconberry, The Migrant and Leopold & His Fiction on the inside stage. There’s also a great bill at The Parish, 214 E. 6th St., with Corduroi, Boombaptist and RJD2. And just think – this is only the beginning, the night before FFF Fest officially kicks off at Auditorium Shores on Friday.
