It’s the fourth journey round the sun for Solstice Festival, the Live Music Capital’s contribution to the internationally-celebrated World Music Day that kicks off tonight and continues through Saturday. This year’s fest features multiple live music performances at various local venues, culminating with more live music along with art, workshops, and family activities at Pan Am Park in East Austin.
Tonight’s massive pre-party awesomeness includes Riders Against the Storm at the Sidewinder, 715 Red River; Holiday Mountain and Henry + The Invisibles at the Mohawk, 912 Red River; Money Chicha, El Tule and Tio Chico at Empire Control Room, 606 E. 7th St. (Money Chicha was featured on today’s Austin Music Minute) and more.
