Spectral

The forlorn spirit drifts from room to room, a wisp of something resembling a figure, maybe not even aware that she isn’t of this earth anymore…a faded memory. She’s doomed to wander the same rooms in the same old house. Why is she still there? No one knows for sure.

Perhaps Löwin‘s latest single “Ghost of Mine,” the new video of which was recently premiered on the KUTX website, is not to be taken as a tale of the (literal) spirit world. Yet there’s no denying the haunted feelings creeping in through the slow rocking build, and the sirenic vocals of songwriter and front woman Sara Houser. You also realize the haunter is actually the haunted…

Löwin celebrates the new music with a single and video release show tonight at the Mohawk on the inside stage, 912 Red River. And much to the delight of your Austin Music Minute maven, it’s a night of L-named bands on the bill – Lolita Lynne, Lola Tried, and Lord Buffalo.

All damn good. Doors at 8 p.m. You know this one’s recommended.
