Struck By Lightning

Full disclosure: Your Austin Music Minute maven knows first hand that Joshua Logan knows how to rock, damn it. Any fan of The Blind Pets will easily testify to the amped up energy unleashing maniacal shreds and flying leaps from the stage. This is an artist driven by a passion that won’t quit. Others only talk about hustling; Logan is the hustle, that perpetual fire others need beneath their backsides if they wanna get stuff done. Where others slow down the pace, Logan is racing at 100 mph. It needs to happen. Like, now.

These days, Chief White Lightning is the musical persona of the former Blind Pets front man. And since his move to LA last year, things have been a whirlwind of activity – from releasing the Chief’s electrifying self-titled debut, to recently completing a busy 15-city tour. And, considering it’s typically a trip of massive egos and crushed Hollywood dreams out in La La Land, it’s a damn fine thing to see the Chief never lost sight of his number one – making music.

Don’t miss Chief White Lightning at his show tonight at The ABGB, 1305 W. Oltorf. With some ol’ buddies/familiar faces in rock trio Deals (Scotty May, Wes Cargal and the mighty Michael Anthony Gibson) starting the night out right at 9 p.m.

You know you want it. Very recommended.
