Your Austin Music Minute host got hooked on local alt.-folk quartet Sons of Santos thanks to the track “Nobody’s Watching,” on their debut EP Wounded Healer (2013). Three years have passed since that release, but this year Sons of Santos returns with an impressive album, The Spindletop Blues. And of course, there are more phenomenal vocals to savor on their new LP, including the track featured on today’s AMM, “Out the Door.”
It’s not too late to head out to The Parish, 214 E. 6th St. to see Sons of Santos at their album release show tonight, featuring sets by Tahoma, SMILE, and Chris Strand & The Sinners. An all-around excellent bill. The music kicks off at 9 p.m. Recommended.
