Local rock trio Blue Healer‘s “Bad Weather” (featured on today’s Austin Music Minute) wasn’t initially a track considered for release. It started out as more of a horn-blasting funky jam to get the blood pumping. But, after some random experimentation during a rehearsal to give it more of an edge, “Bad Weather” took on a new life.
“Bad Weather” is out today, just a few days ahead of Blue Healer’s album release on September 9th. Meanwhile, you can see Blue Healer perform tonight at The Wine Down, the monthly music series presented by KUTX, Ruffino and 3Ten at ACL Live that puts the spotlight on local musical talent. Please note that this is an early show; doors open at 5 p.m., and the music starts at 6 p.m.
You’ll find the 3Ten venue, 310 Willie Nelson Blvd., to the left of the main entrance to ACL Live at the Moody Theater. It’s a free show, and proceeds from other purchases benefit the Austin Music Foundation. See you there!
