Musicians David Beck, Bryan Mammel and Dees Stribling have been performing together as Blue Healer for a brief time, but that has absolutely no bearing on how incredibly busy their schedule’s been, not to mention playing the huge BMI/Lambert’s/Eye In the Sky Collective SXSW showcase last Thursday.
BH has been busily working on new music and just completed filming a new video, on top of jaunts out to Dallas for gigs. Feels like rather productive times for this awesome trio that makes “pop music with teeth,” as you’ll hear on “30,000 Ft.” (featured on today’s Austin Music Minute).
If you haven’t seen Blue Healer yet, you have the chance to do so tonight at The Swan Dive, 615 Red River. It’s a great bill with all sorts of musical discovery for your perusal, including sets by Wonderbitch, Thanks Light, Thunderpony and Airplanes Above Us. Doors open at 9:30 p.m., and the music begins at 10 p.m. Recommended.
