Step up. It’s another excellent double bill of Austin artists bringing the music to Meanwhile Brewing Company tomorrow, Thursday Dec. 16.
- Singer/songwriter Nayome admits R&B is her first love, but the fuel for her recent recordings came from her desire to move into more experimental territory. A bevy of beats from Deezie Brown came at just the right time. Following her debut EP Personal and the release of today’s AMM featured track “Universal Lover,” Nayome also unleashed the improvised collab “Keep It Moving Freestyle.”
- Recently featured on the AMM, avant-garde soul/jazz pop artist Kendra Sells (of Austin alt.-neo soul band BluMoon) made a fantastic solo debut with their EP All In Your Head, an impressive multi-level DIY production heavy on the beat switches and vocal/lyrical badassery.
Catch the show tomorrow night at Meanwhile, 3901 Promontory Point Dr. The music starts at 7 p.m.
