Your Austin Music Minute had the pleasure of experiencing Suspirians live at an Electric Church show this summer. Something about hearing the music from their recent release, Ti Bon Ange, up front in high volume made it all the more enticing. The 7-track album hypnotizes in a dark psych/punk swirl pulling you toward its feverish center. Experimenting with their aesthetic has brought the band to an incredible, expansive sound space.
Suspirians are on the bill tonight at Beerland, 711 1/2 Red River, for Miami punk band Period Bomb‘s show. Pataphysics and Attic Ted are also on board. Doors open at 8 p.m.
This rocks so hard all over the map. Recommended.
