Your humble Austin Music Minute host has been dealt the overwhelming but ultimately rewarding task of keeping track of a multitude of very talented local artists. It can cause one’s mind to explode, but there are a variety of music resources keeping local music fans posted on all the latest releases, shows and related projects that bands are up to. One such resource is longtime AMM fave Ovrld.
The music lovers who write for this Austin music blog, known as “Overload” (once mistakenly referred to by your AMM maven as “overlord,” but hey – comedy gold!), are also known for curating some fantastic shows around town, and they’ve got one coming up tonight at The Sidewinder, 715 Red River. The Ovrld Presents line-up features psych rock/pop quartet Kay Odyssey, dark garage/Goth-pop band Suspirians, psych folk-rockers Gossamer Frontier, and trippy-hypnotic swamp rock outfit Moonsicles.
These bands are all worth checking out. Doors open at 9:30 p.m. Very recommended.
