Go on. Wander over to R C E P by Rain Collectors, or Rain Collectors’ EP, on their Bandcamp and let it wash over you. (“Unless One” is the track featured on today’s AMM.) They’ve described their sound as “cloudy pop,” or something written from the innermost depths. There is something beautiful and rainy-day captivating about it, some kind of longing resonating from the core.
Rain Collectors performs tonight at Hotel Vegas, 1502 E. 6th St. The show also features solo sets by Sabrina Ellis (Sweet Spirit, A Giant Dog), Lauren Burton (Lola Tried), and Sad Machine, featuring members of Annabelle Chairlegs and Sailor Poon. The music starts at 9 p.m. Recommended.
