So, a funny thing happened this past weekend. Well, not terribly funny, but Urban Heat‘s Jonathan Horstmann lives to tell the tale on his band’s social media, and it looks as though some physical therapy may be in the not-so-distant future.
Horstmann threw his back out (“…like a genius,” he says, in quiet exasperation) while participating in some water skiing activity. This means Urban Heat’s upcoming performance at The Parish tomorrow, Thursday July 7, will be slightly more subdued in terms of the physical intensity the lead vocalist usually brings to the stage. “It’s gonna be a bit of a different experience, a more reserved Jonathan, if you will,” Horstmann explains.
But injuries be damned! Check them out tomorrow at The Parish’s FreeDay Weekend series, with a line-up that includes electronic artist TREJO and pop warrior Lena Luca. Doors at 7 p.m., and DJ J. Harcrow (Growth In Decay) spins between sets.
