Here’s what Adrian Quesada’s recent musical resume looks like: playing guitar with Brownout; producing records by hip-hop crew Third Root and honky-tonkers Croy & The Boys; and running his Austin studio Level One Sound. Despite it all, Quesada has found time to start up Black Pumas, yet another new band. The psychedelic soul outfit capped off a busy spring by rocking the park with KUTX, and we think this is as good a time as any to revisit Quesada’s My KUTX. The 2016 episode is one of our favorites, blending Temptations deep cuts with old-school hip-hop and new-school country. Listen on Saturday, March 24, 6 to 7 p.m. or anytime at the bottom of the page.
