The Altercation Comedy Festival returns to Austin for its second year, taking over Kick Butt Coffee from September 27 to September 30. It’s the brainchild of Austin’s JT Habersaat, a comedian with the heart of a punk rocker. He’s toured with punk bands, runs his own record label (Altercation Records), curates and performs on the Altercation Punk Comedy tour, and he brings all of this DIY energy to the Festival. There are headliners and newer names alongside self-described freak shows, country bands, and musicians sharing stories from the road.
This week on My KUTX, Habersaat brings his own storytelling and dogeared punk LPs to the airwaves for an hour of comedy, memories, and handpicked songs. Listen on Saturday, September 23, 6-7 p.m., or anytime at the bottom of the page.
