Everyone from Beyonce and Lady Gaga to Drake and Girl In A Coma have been influenced by the Texan, and her music–blending cumbia and Tejano with funk and pop–still sounds revolutionary. Bidi Bidi Banda, Austin’s all-star Selena tribute band, plays Saturday night at Holy Mountain. The band’s singer, Stephanie Bergara, is our guest DJ this week, spinning some of her favorite Selena songs plus some other Tejano classics she grew up with.
