Bobby Patterson has been singing R&B and southern soul in his hometown of Dallas for over half a century. He released countless singles for local and regional labels in the 60s and 70s, and his original tunes have been covered by artists as diverse as Little Willie John, Albert King, the Fabulous Thunderbirds, and Jeff Tweedy. Patterson recently completed an album of all-new material at Austin’s Arlyn Studios, produced by Relatives guitarist Zach Ernst and mixed by Adrian Quesada. If you like John E. Dee’s Happy Feet Old School Dance Party, then you’re going to love Bobby Patterson’s My KUTX! You can see Bobby Patterson LIVE this weekend at C-Boys on the 22nd and 23rd.
Tune in to KUTX 98.9 on Saturday, August 23rd at 6 p.m. to hear BP do his thing!
