My KUTX: Go Fever

Acey Monaro fronts the Austin band Go Fever, and Australian punk and rock is a big influence on the group’s sound. That’s because Monaro hails from down under, raised on a steady diet of her country’s wilder output alongside American blues and country. It makes for a fascinating combination on Go Fever’s self-titled debut, which celebrates its one year anniversary this weekend. And this week on My KUTX, Monaro lays all her cards on the table with an electrifying guest DJ set full of those intercontinental influences. Hear Acey’s My KUTX on Saturday, February 24, 6-7 p.m., or anytime at the bottom of the page.
