My KUTX: Margo Price

Margo Price has an old-school appeal, tipping her hat to country luminaries like Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn, and Levon Helm. She’s also the perfect country singer for our present moment. Her latest album, All American Made, is a brash critique of America, from women’s substandard wages to the economically burdened heartland that she hails from. Yet the record is oddly comforting in Price’s hands. She shines a light on our problems while still taking another twirl on the dance floor.

This week on My KUTX, Price is also our guest DJ. Of course, she spins plenty of country gold, right alongside old-school gospel favorites and contemporary inspirations. Hear Margo Price’s My KUTX on Saturday, February 10, 6-7 p.m., or anytime at the bottom of the page.
