Last year, Austin’s Molly Burch followed up her critically-acclaimed debut with a stunning second album. First Flower finds the former KUTX Artist of the Month digging deeper into her sound, bringing classic pop and country influences into the present day. “To The Boys” might be the most punk rock song released last year: a torch ballad that coolly and confidently calls out misogyny.
We’re excited to have Burch back as our guest DJ this week on My KUTX. She pulled songs and artists from her touring playlist, offering up a set that will keep you level on the road. Hear My KUTX on Saturday, January 5 at 6 p.m. or listen anytime at the bottom of the page.
