Old Settler’s Music Festival started as a Round Rock-based roots festival in 1987, but as Jean Spivey says, it’s grown a few more branches over the years. She’s the executive director of Old Settler’s, and this week on My KUTX, Spivey previews the 2015 edition, which runs April 16-19 at the Salt Lick Pavilion and Camp Ben McCulloch. Bluegrass and folk are still the main featured genres of this year’s lineup, but it also includes country, rock, gospel, R&B, and whatever the heck you’d call Shinyribs.
