Old Settler’s Music Festival started as a Round Rock-based roots festival in 1987, but it’s grown a few more branches over the years. Now held at Camp Ben McCulloch in Driftwood, Old Settler’s features anything that could fall under the “Americana” umbrella. This year’s fest–running April 14-17–includes Dawes, Hayes Carll, the Jayhawks, and Shinyribs, as well as up-and-comers like the Suffers and Milk Carton Kids.
This week on My KUTX, the Fest’s Ryan Brittain gives you an hour-long mix of must-see acts and Old Settler’s memories. Tune in this Saturday at 6 p.m. or listen anytime in the player below.
