My KUTX: Quiet Company

Quiet Companythe KUTX Artist Of The Month–hit big in 2011, winning ten Austin music awards for their fourth album, Where Are All Where We Belong. Frontman Taylor Muse laid bare his struggles with religion on the record, an about-face from the band’s more Christian-leaning early songs. For this year’s Transgressor, Muse says he embraced his dark side even further, and the result is an electrifying album–rock-and-roll in every sense of the term.

This week on My KUTX, Muse and guitarist Tommy Blank are the guest DJs, picking songs that influenced Quiet Company and a few artists to check out at SXSW 2015. Tune in Saturday night at 6 p.m. or anytime in the player below.
