KUTX’s Artist of the Month Walker Lukens turned heads with his 2013 album Devoted. Outlets across the country–including NPR and yours truly–hailed the record for its blend of piano-led pop and loop-based experiments. With a new band in tow, the Side Arms, Lukens has a new album coming out soon that hopes to expand on these ideas. His guest DJ episode hints at his diverse influences.
