My KUTX: White Denim’s Steve Terebecki

White Denim is the KUTX Artist of the Month for March. Learn more here.

Steve Terebecki formed White Denim a decade ago in Austin with James Petralli, and over those ten years, the band has covered a ton of stylistic ground: punk, funk, jazz, a bit of Southern rawk. Petralli (rightfully) gets a lot of credit for his voice and guitar, but Terebecki’s incredible bass playing holds all the elements together. Terebecki is our guest DJ this week on My KUTX, and his playlist is just as wide-ranging and badass. Listen in the player at the bottom of the page.

Also, catch White Denim live at the Four Seasons at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 17. Their seventh album, Stiff, is out March 25.
