Originally from College Station, Texas, Zach Ernst moved to Austin to study economics at the University of Texas. But his plans took a sharp turn the minute he stepped foot into Clifford Antone’s History of the Blues class at UT. Antone became a mentor to Ernst and eventually inspired his career in the music business. Ernst currently wears the hats of rhythm guitarist, producer, and live music booker. He plays with (and produces) The Relatives and Bobby Patterson among many others, and is the booker for The Paramount Theatre.
