From Stevie Ray Vaughan to Gary Clark Jr., Austin has had its fair share of Blues rock legends. What else better exemplifies Austin’s musical spirit than the melding of soulful blues and gritty rock? Blues rock leaves its musical imprint on our hearts and our city, and it’s time to celebrate it with a slew of Austin talent.
KUTX presents the annual ALL ATX concert on Thursday, September 29 at ACL LIVE. This year’s event will coincide with the release of the ALL ATX “Low Down Violet Crown: Austin Rocks The Blues” CD. Tickets go on sale this Friday, August 12th, at 10 am through acl-live.com. The event will be hosted by KUTX’s Jody Denberg.
The costs for this year’s event have been generously underwritten, ensuring every dollar raised will go directly to the support of Austin’s musicians. Among the recipients are HAAM, SIMS Foundation, Black Fret and Austin Music Foundation.
