Academy Award-winner Matthew McConaughey could truly live anywhere in the world, yet he’s still an avowed Austinite. He’s a common sight around town, be it on the UT campus, at a football game, or catching a show.
Ahead of his charity event Mack, Jack, & McConaughey at ACL Live on Thursday and Friday night, McConaughey sat down with KUTX Program Director Matt Reilly to talk about teaching a UT film class, the changes he’s seen in Austin, and why he still calls this place home. Listen to the interview below.
