Music Videos for Love & Loss

Valentine’s Day can be a polarizing time of year, so we at KUTX made two special video playlists to supplement your February 14th experience. Whether you’ll be spending this upcoming holiday with your special someone, or alone, scowling at those happy couples, one of these playlists will surely satisfy your Valentine’s Day inclinations.

If music be the food of love, play on.

Some of us still believe in love, and this playlist is for all you out there who remain uncynical. To all the lovers, and those of you still waiting for that At Last! moment–let you never become the person who prefers the second playlist.

In the unlikely event that this playlist does not thaw your frozen heart, scroll down to check out our anti-Valentines Day playlist–it may better suit your unfortunate disposition.

Love is merely a madness, and, I tell you, deserves as well a dark house and a whip as madmen do: and the reason why they are not so punished and cured is, that the lunacy is so ordinary that the whippers are in love too.

Someone once had the crystalline vision to see Valentine’s Day for what it truly is: a holiday invented by greetings card companies to make people feel like crap. Between contemplating the depths of your loneliness, shooting dubious glares at clasped hands and smiling faces, and watching indie films from a time before life turned you into the cynic you are today, take a break, and distract yourself with this playlist made especially for all you sad bastards out there. We promise it’ll be better than all the self-loathing you had planned for today.
