Sir Woman is a new project from Wild Child vocalist, violinist, and songwriter, Kelsey Wilson. In her own words, “Sir Woman became an outlet for me to work through my own shit going on while I was touring and making music with all of the insanely talented people I get to create with.” While the seed for this new music might have been planted while on tour with Wild Child, Kelsey’s new songs are a pretty big departure from that band’s bright indie-folk sound. Sir Woman’s two recently released singles, “Highroad” and “Making Love” find Kelsey’s crystal clear vocals bouncing along with some seriously funky organs, soaring string arrangements, and a silky smooth horn section.
