Cannonball Adderely is known for popularizing Hard Bop and bringing a sense of joy and jubilation, a sense of church into the art form. He mixed funk and rock into jazz in the 70’s. For him, music wasn’t a commodity, it is timeless and allows us all to transcend into the greater whole of existence.
