Haven’t nailed down your plans yet for this New Year’s Eve? Here’s a handy guide to some great New Year’s Eve shows presented by KUTX, so you can support your hometown music scene while you ring in 2020.
Wherever you go, whatever you do, keep it tuned to KUTX (or tell your rideshare driver it’s the best station in town.) Rick McNulty will be hosting a New Year’s Eve party on the air, starting at 7 P.M.
Plan on drinking? Plan your transportation accordingly with some alternatives to driving via Get There ATX. (Even if you do drive but your plans to abstain change, or your DD bails on you, they’ve got options to help you get home safely.)
The next day, drink lots of fluids and spend New Year’s Day with some of our favorite musicians and notable Austinites – like Caroline Rose, Abhi the Nomad, Shy Beast, writer Austin Kleon, chef Rick Lopez, and many more. We’ll air guest DJ sets from them all day on our annual My KUTX Marathon.
