Golden Dawn Arkestra have returned from their bejeweled planet with a new song and video, which we’re premiering here at KUTX. It’s a new sound for the band, as we find them moving from loose Afrobeat jams to tight dance music ornamented with their dashing sense of humor. “Allo Allo Boom” is the kind of song we should hear bumping in cars and clubs all summer long.
Inspired by a French PSA encouraging drivers to put their cell phones down, “Allo Allo Boom” is the band’s twisted take on society’s technology addiction. The song will appear on the band’s new album, Darkness Falls On The Edge Of Time, out September 6 via NYC indie 11A Records.
