Cast of ZACH Theatre’s production of “Ragtime” @ KUT 11/8/12

Currently in its 79th season, ZACH Theatre has always been a staple and beacon of innovation in the Austin theatre community. Unlike some of the other theatres in town, ZACH Theatre is a producing theatre. Meaning that while other theatres around the town act as venues for touring shows, ZACH creates all of its work in house. Having recently opened the brand new, 420-seat Topfer Theatre, ZACH decided to kick things off with a production of Ragtime, a musical telling the story of three families at the turn on the 20th century. The songs in the musical are a mix of marches, cakewalks, ragtime and gospel, all true to the period of the story. Cast members from ZACH Theatre’s production of Ragtime were in Studio 1a performing some selections from the show and you can hear them all RIGHT HERE!
