Singer-songwriter, poet and visual artist Patti Smith is frequently thought of as the “Godmother of Punk.” Her fusion of rock and poetry, along with the 1975 release of her debut album, Horses, greatly influenced the punk movement. Now 30+ years later Patti Smith is touring behind her new album Banga and played a show at Stubb’s BBQ on Tuesday April 30th. But before she brought down the house over at Stubb’s we hosted her in the new KUTX Studio 1A in front of a live studio audience. Listen to Patti Smith caught live on KUTX 98.9 right here!
