Sue Foley 2.28.18

Canadian-turned-Austinite Sue Foley has taken the blues scene by storm. Her rootsy blues sound harkens back to the greats. As a self-described “little white Canadian girl,” she was so inspired by the likes of Stevie Ray Vaughn and The Fabulous Thunderbirds that she moved to Austin to continue her pursuit of creating blues magic. Her new album, The Ice Queen, comes out this Friday, the 2nd. The title of the album, and an eponymous song, aim to portray ice queens – or those whose personalities have a hard exterior – in a more compassionate light by revealing the warmth underneath. Help her celebrate the release of the album by catching her (and her signature pink Fender Telecaster) at Antone’s on Thursday, March 1st, an acoustic set at the Cactus Cafe on Friday the 2nd, and Waterloo records on Sunday the 4th. Before seeing her live, listen to her Studio 1A session below!
