Hot Luck Fest is back for its second year, bringing together music and food for four days of deliciousness and righteousness, May 24-27. And this week, fest founders Aaron Franklin and James Moody are back for another My KUTX helping. Franklin is the namesake behind Franklin Barbeque, and Moody cut his music chops by organizing Fun Fun Fun Fest and many of the clubs in the Red River District. Together, they preview the Fest with some of their go-to pump-up music, musical and culinary roots, and plenty of ’80s hair metal they’ve been jamming on the sly as Hot Luck came together. Hear their guest DJ set on Saturday, May 5, 6 to 7 p.m. or anytime at the bottom of the page.
