My KUTX: Black Pistol Fire

Black Pistol Fire’s Eric Owen and Kevin McKeown are unfailingly nice dudes, maybe due to their Canadian/Austin roots. But onstage, the pair rip it up, playing a blend of gutbucket blues-rock and punk. Ahead of Black Pistol Fire’s show at the Scoot Inn on Thursday, December 13, Eric and Kevin are back this week as our guest DJs for their third go-around. In addition to an hour of awesome music, the duo discuss seeing Death From Above twice in one week; the merits of Canadian music; and Michael Caine as a funeral MC (it gets pretty weird). Hear Black Pistol Fire’s My KUTX on Saturday, December 8 at 6 p.m. or listen anytime at the bottom of the page.
