Brazos is founded by singer-songwriter Martin Crane, one fiercely hardworking musician. Before enlisting the help of additional members to play live shows around Austin, Crane already unleashed two bedroom-written EPs under the Brazos name. Martin’s sometimes jazzy, sometimes folk-inspired indie rock elicited an onslaught of positive responses, after which he packed up and moved to Brooklyn. It was here that Martin Crane continued his writing frenzy, eventually laying down tracks for this year’s hugely successful Saltwater. Martin was joined by bassist Spencer Zahn and drummer Ian Chang to play KUTX Guest DJ for an hour. The guys put together this playlist on the way from Dallas to Austin and it’s heavily influenced by their time on the road in 2013.
