Jade Bird

My KUTX // January 23, 2021

Jade Bird is a young British singer-songwriter who blurs the lines between folk, rock, and pop. After wowing us at SXSW a few years ago around the release of her debut, Bird plans to drop her second album this year. She’s also still engaging with her fans during the pandemic, recently announcing a ticketed livestream concert from Nashville’s famed RCA Studios on February 13 where fans can hear brand new songs.

This week on My KUTX, we’re rebroadcasting Bird’s stellar 2018 guest DJ set, which features her love of soul music, ’60s pop, and all things Smith: Patti Smith, Elliott Smith, and the Smiths. Hear Jade Bird’s My KUTX on Saturday, January 23 at 6 p.m. or anytime in the player above.
