Levitation Fest began as Austin Psych Fest back in 2008, and it literally started in a barn. It was a single-day event, but since then the Fest has grown much bigger. Now it’s spread over three days and held at Carson Creek Ranch, a campground just north of the airport. This year’s fest starts next weekend, and this week on My KUTX, Christian Bland previews the fest with a hand-picked mix of Levitation artists. Bland wears a lot of hats–he’s the guitarist in the Black Angels (who started the fest), he helps run the record label Reverberation Appreciation Society, and he’s one of the curators behind Levitation.
